California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ) is a statewide organization that centers the experiences of Black, Indigenous and other People of Color within the Latine diaspora to uphold our dignity, our bodies, our sexuality, our diverse families and communities. We build power, shift culture and cultivate leadership through community organizing, policy advocacy, community-informed research, and community healing. CLRJ is the only statewide organization whose purpose focuses specifically on promoting Latinas’/es’ Reproductive Justice. Reproductive Justice is a framework for movement building developed by Black and Indigenous and other women of color that simultaneously prioritizes: 1) The right to bodily autonomy; 2) the right to have children, free of interference in one’s reproductive life by the state or other institutions; 3) the right to not have children, and control one’s fertility through access to critical reproductive health services, including abortion.
