Community Engagement
At CLRJ we recognize that Latina/x leaders are essential to make positive policy change for our communities. As such, we are deeply committed to ensuring that our policy priorities are informed, shaped and moved by our communities. Through our community engagement work, we build Latina/x leadership, practice community education, and offer Latina/x leaders mobilization opportunities to advance our reproductive and sexual health, rights and justice.
Latinas4RJ
Latinas 4RJ works to develop Latina/x leaders that are empowered in Reproductive Justice “RJ” Herstory, its framework, and practice in order to support reproductive justice issues for themselves, their families, friends, and community. Latinas 4 RJ Chapter Leaders learn about the policy making process and their role as advocates to amplify the voices of Latina/x communities. Latinas 4 RJ Chapter Leaders receive education and training with a Latina focused lens in the areas of reproductive justice, abortion care and access, civic engagement, facilitation, presentation, communication, public speaking, RJ story collection, philanthropy and writing of articles and blogs for advocacy.
There are currently two Latinas4RJ Chapters in California, located in: Los Angeles and San Diego.
